2 Men Steal $2K Worth Of Baseball Bats From Melville Store: Police

The men are wanted for stealing six bats from Dick's Sporting Goods, police say. Have you seen them?

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the two men who, police said, stole baseball bats from a Melville store this month.

Two men stole six Easton baseball bats, valued at $2,099, from Dick’s Sporting Goods, at 870 Walt Whitman Road, around 7 p.m. May 2, police said. The men are wanted for grand larceny, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
