Police ID Man Killed In Suffolk Crash; 4 Injured
The man drove off the roadway and crashed into trees near an overpass, police say. Four passengers were injured, two seriously, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — A man was killed in a one-car crash in Melville on Monday morning, while four passengers were injured, Suffolk police said.
Daishun Jones Rains, 30, of Huntington Station, was driving a 2004 Nissan Sentra eastbound on the Long Island Expressway, near the Pinelawn Road overpass, when he lost control of the car, which exited the roadway, crashed into trees and overturned around 5 a.m., police said.
Jones Rains was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers suffered serious injuries, while two other passengers suffered minor injuries, police said.
The vehicle was impounded for safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
