MELVILLE, NY — A crash on the westbound Long Island Expressway at the Melville and Plainview border blocked the left shoulder on Thursday afternoon, according to 511 NY.

The crash happened between Exit 48 - Round Swamp Road (Oyster Bay) and Exit 46 - Sunnyside Boulevard (Oyster Bay) at 4:15 p.m. The lanes have since reopened.
