Dix Hills Chai Center Offering Post-Sandy Services

Religious services continuing; volunteers needed.

The Chai Center of Dix Hills is providing various services to local residents impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

• The Chai Center is up and running and services will continue to be held: 7 a.m. daily Minyan; 8:30 a.m. Sunday; No Minyan Friday night; Services Shabbat Day 9:30 with light Kiddush to follow 

• The Chai Center will be doing an Emergency Food Distribution - Prepackaged Shabbat meals for first 50 families – 2 p.m. pickup. First come first serve. The Chai Center also needs support to help others. Volunteers are needed to help pack food – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please respond to Deena by Text Only at (917)-913-7759. Cafe Chabad postponed

• If conditions do not change, The Chai Center will be offering "Family Time" for parents and children of all ages that is free of charge. Friday: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m; Monday to Thursday: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please text Deena at (917)-913-7759.
