Dix Hills Pool To Expand Weekday Hours

Good news for Town of Huntington residents looking to beat the heat for the final two weeks of the summer season.

DIX HILLS, NY — Weekday hours at the Dix Hills Pool are expanding for the final two weeks of the summer season, starting Monday, the Town of Huntington announced. The pool is at Dix Hills Park, 575 Vanderbilt Parkway.

The new hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Friday: 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The hours are expanding due to the seasonal end of the Dix Hills Adventure Camp program. On Aug. 29, the pool will be closing at 6 p.m. due to a private function.

The Dix Hills Pool is open to Town of Huntington residents by reservation only. Up to 150 people maximum are allowed in the pool area, with no more than 70 people in the water at any given time. Masks are required for entry for visitors over the age of 2.

Only Town residents, as well as members of the Half Hollow Hills, Commack and Cold Spring Harbor School Districts, which are partially located within the Town, may register for a time slot at the pool. A driver’s license ID or school ID will be required when entering the pool to ascertain residency.

Pool visitors must reserve a session using the Town’s Parks & Recreation Rectrac online scheduling program. Go to the hyperlinked website, go to the 'POOL ADMISSION' tab at the top and select a date from the reservation calendar.
