DIX HILLS, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Half Hollow Hills School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2023-24 school budget by a margin of 1,415 votes to 434.

The district's budget is $289,790,216, up 3.43 percent from last year's. The tax levy is up 1.46 percent.

Diana Acampora, John Mathew and Michael Prywes were elected to the school board for three-year terms. Acampora got 1,288 votes, Mathew got 1,128 votes, and Prywes garnered 988 votes.
