Huge Truck Overturns In Dix Hills

DIX HILLS, NY — An 18-wheel truck overturned in Dix Hills on Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The man driving the truck tried to make a left turn from Vanderbilt Parkway onto Commack Road when he lost control of the vehicle at approximately 2 p.m., police said. The driver did not need medical attention, police said.

The entirety of southbound Commack Road was a "mess," according to Smithtown Public Safety.

"Use the parkway or another route unless you like sitting in traffic," the department tweeted.
