Jeep Crashes Into Light Pole, Bridge In Suffolk, Catches Fire: Police
The car burst into flames during the crash, according to the report. Police say the man suffered a medical emergency.
MELVILLE, NY — A man was injured in a Melville crash on Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.
A man was driving a Jeep westbound on the Long Island Expressway, near exit 49N, when he suffered an apparent medical emergency and his Jeep struck a light pole and a bridge around 6:45 a.m., police said.
The Jeep jumped the divider and smashed into the Pinelawn Road overpass before bursting into flames, ABC 7 NY reported.

The man was taken to Nassau University Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.
