Man Steals $4K From Melville Man's Bank Account: Police
A man surrendered his credit card after he was told his bank account had been compromised, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, stole money from a Melville man’s bank account.
A Melville resident was contacted by a man who identified himself as a bank representative and told him that his bank account had been compromised, police said. The caller convinced him to turn over his card for destruction and re-issuance, police said. An unknown man went to the victim’s home
on May 21 to retrieve the card and PIN, police said. A man used the card at ATMs in Garden City and
Valley Stream to withdraw $4,000 later that day, police said.
