Memorial Marker To Be Dedicated To Gold Star Families In Dix Hills
The marker, "HONOR – HOPE – HEALING," was designed to remember fallen heroes from the Town of Huntington.

DIX HILLS, NY — A Gold Star Families Memorial Marker is set to be unveiled in Dix Hills Park at 11 a.m. Saturday, Huntington Town Supervisor Ed Smyth and the Dix Hills Garden Club announced.
The marker, "HONOR – HOPE – HEALING," was designed to remember fallen heroes from the Town of Huntington who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
Town of Huntington officials and members of the Dix Hills Garden Club will unveil the marker to mothers and family members of those fallen service men who are in attendance.

The Memorial dedication will take place at the Dix Hills Park, near the golf course entrance, at 575 Vanderbilt Parkway.
Additional servicemen from Huntington who were killed in action will also be honored.

There will be a presentation of gifts to the mothers in attendance and music performed by Bill Manton and Bob Schageter and the Band of Veterans & Friends.
