Suffolk Car Menorah Parade And Grand Menorah Lighting: Info
The Chai Center and Chabad of Mid-Suffolk are holding a socially-distant version of the annual tradition.
DIX HILLS, NY — The Chai Center and Chabad of Mid-Suffolk have organized their The Grand Menorah Car Parade and Annual Menorah Lighting event scheduled for Dec. 10. The free socially-distant event will allow observers to celebrate Chanukah and shine the light from the comfort of their own cars.
Cars are scheduled to line up 5 p.m. at Chabad of Mid-Suffolk, located at 318 Veterans Memorial Highway, Commack. The parade will leave at 6 p.m. to go to The Chai Center at 501 Vanderbilt Parkway, Dix Hills. The event will conclude with the annual Grand Menorah Lighting in the parking lot of The Chai Center at 6:45 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to tune their radio to hear music for the parade.
Donuts and latkes will be served to everyone, and the first 50 cars to RSVP get a free car Menorah and flag for the parade. Chanukah beanies will be given to the first 100 participants.
