Cement Truck Flips Over At Nassau-Suffolk Border; Lanes Reopen

The driver was injured in the crash, which happened Tuesday afternoon, police say.

MELVILLE, NY — A cement truck overturned on an eastbound road in Melville on Tuesday afternoon, injuring the driver and causing multiple lanes to close, Suffolk police said.

The truck flipped over at the corner of northbound Route 110 and the South Service Road, just south of the Long Island Expressway, at 1:13 p.m., police told Patch. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries, police said.

All lanes were closed immediately after the crash. All lanes reopened as of 4:55 p.m., according to 511 NY.
