EAST HARLEM, NY - A 22-year-old was shot inside a NYCHA complex in East Harlem Monday night, authorities said.

The victim was shot in the lower back at a Metro North Plaza building at 310 E 102nd St. about 9:37 p.m., police said.

They were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan and are expected to recover.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available Tuesday.
