4-Alarm Fire In East Harlem: FDNY

A four-alarm fire broke out in East Harlem on Wednesday evening.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A four-alarm fire broke out in East Harlem on Wednesday evening, torching a three-story building that includes a beer garden, New York City Fire Department officials said.

According to the FDNY, the fire started just after 6 p.m. at Santiago's Beer Garden located at 2337 First Ave. between East 119th Street and East 120th Street.

Officials say medics treated one injured person who refused further medical attention, and said the fire took hours to put out.

Fire Marshals have not yet said what caused the fire, but the investigation is underway.
