76-Year-Old Man Attacked, Robbed On 2nd Avenue, Police Say

EAST HARLEM, NY — Police are investigating after a 76-year-old man was violently robbed in East Harlem near the Upper East Side on Monday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the victim was walking on Second Avenue near East 99th Street on Monday around 1:25 p.m. when two men approached him and began to take cash from the victim's pockets.

One of the suspects then pushed the victim to the ground before both ran away, heading eastbound on East 99th Street, police said.

Medics responded and treated the victim on site for minor injuries, officials said.

Police are investigating the incident, and have released surveillance photos of the two suspects. Police have not made any arrests yet.
