Amazon Driver Robbed In Harlem Sunday: NYPD
A male assailant threatened the driver with scissors before he swiped a package, police said.
HARLEM, NY - An Amazon delivery driver was robbed by a scissors-wielding thief Sunday afternoon in Harlem, authorities said.
The assailant threatened the 33-year-old female delivery driver with the scissors in front of 22 West 127 Street before he swiped a package about 1:55 p.m., police said.
The swiper then fled on foot northbound on Fifth Avenue with the package, police said. The delivery driver was not injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a man last seen wearing a green jacket and white sneakers.
No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning. An investigation remains ongoing.

As of Wednesday, New York City has 12,390 reported robbery incidents so far in 2023, according to city data. That's down about 5.9 percent from the same time the previous year.
In the 28th precinct where the robbery took place, police have seen 130 incidents so far in 2023. That’s compared to 136 reported this time last year.
