East Harlem Taco Bell Robbed At Gunpoint: Police

The Taco Bell at East 104th Street and 3rd Avenue was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, authorities said.

HARLEM, NY – Shortly after 5 p.m. on Thursday, a cashier at the Taco Bell at 1884 3rd Avenue was robbed at gunpoint, police said.

The perp made off with just $50, according to officials, and fled in an unknown direction.

There were no injuries, police said.

No description of the individual is available at this time, according to police.

The cashier told law enforcement that they did not see an actual physical gun. “Even if the victim doesn’t see a gun, the simulation of a gun or the threat of a gun means it’s still classified as robbed at gunpoint,” a police spokesperson told Patch.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.

According to Taco Bell’s menu, the Mexican-inspired chain restaurant’s Crunchwrap Supreme is currently priced at $6.69.

A typical conviction for robbery in the first degree in New York State carries a prison sentence of five to 25 years, per New York's Penal Law, which is the legal code that defines crimes, offenses, and associated penalties in New York.
