
HARLEM, NY — The basement of an elementary school in Harlem caught on fire early Tuesday morning, New York City Fire Department officials said.
According to the FDNY, the fire broke out at 5:22 a.m. at the Teachers College Community School at 223 West 132nd Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard.
Around 60 firefighters responded to the blaze and got it under control at 6:47 a.m., authorities said.

The FDNY said there were no reported injuries. The fire is under investigation by the FDNY Fire Marshals.
