UPDATED: 7-Year-Old Girl Shot In Harlem, Suspects Charged, Police Say
A young girl was shot near Jackie Robinson Park in Harlem on Monday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

HARLEM, NY – A 7-year-old girl was shot in the stomach near West 145th Street and Bradhurst Avenue not far from Jackie Robinson Park on Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Emergency responders transported the child to Harlem Hospital, police said, where she remains in stable condition.
The shooting happened at about 2:50 p.m, according to officials.

A 19-year-old Harlem man, Daniel Idowu, faces 4 felony charges – including attempted murder – and one misdemeanor charge in connection with the shooting, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch. Idowu was picked up shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday, police said.
A 17-year-old teenage boy, True Womack, also faces an attempted murder charge in connection with the incident, and was picked up at about 9:15 p.m. on Monday, police said.

The shooting was gang-related, according to ABC7, which reported that the shooters were "trying to take out a rival but missed," striking the girl instead.
