HARLEM, NY - The cause of a fire that erupted on the third floor of a building on West 138th Street remains under investigation, authorities said.

The blaze was reported about 9:43 p.m. at 137 W 138th St. between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and Malcolm X Boulevard.

12 units and 60 fire and medical personnel responded to the five-story apartment building, officials said.

The fire was deemed under control about a half hour later. No injuries were reported.
