HARLEM, NY — A deli worker was stabbed after confronting a group who was stealing snacks from the store earlier this month, police said.

On March 12, a group of five people entered the store on Malcolm X Boulevard and East 145th Street at about 3 p.m., and stole soda, chips and cakes from the shelves before leaving, police said.

A store worker, a 35-year-old man, chased after the group and got into a verbal argument with one of the snack stealers, officials said.
