Harlem School Of the Arts Appoints New Development Director
Terry Frankenberger III has more than 20 years of fundraising experience and previously ran Harlem Academy's $31 million capital project.

HARLEM, NY — The Harlem School of the Arts and Herb Alpert Center has hired a long-time development specialist to help drive fundraising to the 57-year-old school with the hiring of W.M. “Terry" Frankenberger III, the school recently announced.
Prior to joining the Harlem School of the Arts as its new chief development officer, Frankenberger served in a similar role at Harlem Academy. While at the independent, not-for-profit, co-educational school, Frankenberger played a pivotal role in planning and excuting the school’s $31 million capital campaign that led to the construction of a new 29,000 square foot, five-story building that sits next to the Harlem School for the Arts.
In a statement, Frankenberger said he is excited to bring more than 20 years of fundraising experience to his new role.

“We are very excited and truly honored to welcome Terry to our institution. We are looking forward to working side by side with him to advance the goals of this organization,” HSA President Eric Pryor said in a news release. “If this pandemic has taught us anything, is that the arts matter and institutions like HSA must be supported for the benefit of the community and for the well-being of the young people whom we serve. More importantly HSA must continue to thrive and grow if we are to continue to shape and mold productive citizens and future artists.”
