Harlem Shooting Near NYCHA Complex Wednesday: NYPD

The gunfire erupted shortly after 2:30 p.m. near 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, police said.

Thursday, Sept. 28 update: Police confirmed a 33-year-old male bus operator was removed to an area hospital for evaluation. No arrests have been made and investigation remains ongoing.

HARLEM, NY - A shooting in Harlem caused multiple bus delays Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The shooting was reported about 2:39 p.m. near 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in front of the Grant Houses NYCHA complex, police said.

Two MTA buses were struck by bullets as a result of the shooting, police said.

No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon.

Northbound M11, M100 and M101 buses are delayed due to police activity in the area, MTA officials said.
