Man Hospitalized After East Harlem Shooting: Police

HARLEM, NY – A 27-year-old man was shot in the right leg near East 113th Street and 1st Avenue on Sunday night, an NYPD spokesperson told Patch.

Police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at about 8 p.m., officials said.

Upon arrival, officers found a man laying on the pavement with a gunshot wound to the lower part of his right leg, authorities said. Emergency responders transported the man to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

No arrests had been made as of 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning, and an investigation is ongoing.

amNewYork reported that four individuals fled the scene on Citi Bikes; two men were later taken into custody, one of whom was found with a firearm. Charges are reportedly pending, and law enforcement continues to search for two other persons of interest.
