Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run In Manhattan, Police Say

The victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man was killed by a hit-and-run driver in East Harlem, New York City Police Department officials said Tuesday.

According to the NYPD, the man was standing in the intersection at East 125th Street and Second Avenue — which is the Manhattan-bound RFK Bridge exit ramp — at 12:49 p.m. Monday when an unknown driver hit him with a car and fled the scene.

The victim was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The man's identity is not yet known, police said.
