Man Knifed In Manhattan Subway Station, Police Say

The victim was knifed in the face, police said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A 28-year-old man was slashed inside an East Harlem subway station Wednesday night, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the perpetrator was arguing with the victim at 11:20 p.m. on the stairs of the 125th Street station at Lexington Avenue when he pulled out a knife and slashed the victim across lower left side of his jaw.

The knife-wielding man, who was wearing a brown sweatshirt, ran away after the assault, police said.

The 28-year-old was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where he’s in stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made as of Thursday, and the investigation is underway, police said.
