Man Repeatedly Stabbed To Death In Harlem Apartment: Police

HARLEM, NY — A man was stabbed to death inside his Harlem apartment early Sunday morning, according to police.

The fatal stabbing happened inside a building on East 132th Street near Madison Avenue, officials said.

Police responded to an emergency call reporting the stabbing about 12:20 p.m., and arrived to find the 47-year-old victim inside an apartment with multiple stab wounds, with the killer nowhere to be found.

Medics rushed the man to Harlem Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased, officials said.

Police identified the man as Michael Smith, 47, who lived just three blocks away.

Officials had no description to immediately offer, but according to the New York Post, a police source claims that investigators are seeking a man who appears to be roughly 50-years-old.
