Man Shot In Head Outside Harlem Bodega

The man had reportedly been in an argument before he was killed.

HARLEM, NY — A man was shot in the head outside of a Harlem bodega Wednesday night, police said. The man was reportedly in an argument with his killer, who left and came back with the loaded gun.

Police responded to a 911 call to the Adnader Inc bodega on the corner of Saint Nicholas Avenue and West 121st St., police said, and found the 22-year-old man lying in front of the store with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. He was not identified pending family notification.

The New York Daily News spoke with a worker at the bodega, who said the man had been in an argument with someone else. The man's killer left and came back, waiting outside of the store with a loaded gun, the News reported.

When the man left the store with his girlfriend, after buying orange juice, Gatorade, and fruit snacks, the two men got in a fight, the News reported.

The victim wasn't able to wrestle the gun away from his killer, who fired a single shot to his head.

“It was a shock. He was too young,” Helel El Geler, the shop-worker, told the News. “I’m still shaking. I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. I've never seen anything like this.”
