Man Violently Robbed In Manhattan, Police Say

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem following the robbery.

HARLEM, NY — Police are searching for suspects after a man was violently attacked and robbed in Harlem, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 38-year-old victim was walking in front of 500 West 145th St. back on Oct. 4 just before 5 a.m. when two men approached him and threatened him with a knife and an unknown blunt object.

A physical fight followed, and one of the perpetrators struck the victim multiple times in the head with the blunt object, while a third perpetrator approached and took approximately $150 from the victim's pocket, police said.

Then, the first two perpetrators ran away heading southbound on Amsterdam Avenue, and the third perpetrator ran away, heading eastbound on 145th Street, police said.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition, police said.

Police said no arrests have been made yet, but the investigation is underway.
