HARLEM, NY - A Bronx man has been charged in the deadly shooting of a 25-year-old East Harlem man last year, authorities said.

Camby Wilson, 24, was charged Tuesday with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the shooting death of Shaquell Gainey, police said.

Gainey was found on Feb. 25, 2022 about 10:56 p.m. in front of a deli at 2251 First Ave. with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

Medics rushed the victim to NYC Health & Hospital/Harlem where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
