Pedestrian Critically Injured In Harlem Was Fleeing Police: NYPD
The 25-year-old man was being questioned when he fled into the intersection and was struck by a trailer, police said.
HARLEM, NY - A man was being questioned by police in Harlem when he fled into the intersection and was critically struck by a trailer Monday evening, police said.
The 25-year-old was being questioned for a possible assault near First Avenue and East 105th Street about 8:50 p.m. when he ran and was subsequently hit by a trailer pulled by a pickup truck, which knocked him unconscious, police said.
Medics rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell where he was listed in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene and is not facing charges as of Tuesday, police said.
