Scooter Rider Hit By Driver, Critically Injured In Harlem: Police
A man riding a scooter near 125th Street was in critical condition after being hit by a driver Friday morning, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A man riding a scooter was hit by a car and critically injured in Harlem Friday morning, police said.
The crash at the intersection of West 125th Street and Morningside Avenue happened just before 8 a.m., as the man rode his kick scooter south along Morningside, police said.
The driver of a Honda vehicle hit the man in the intersection, leaving him with head trauma, police said.

The scooter-rider, identified only as a man in his 40s, was found unconscious and unresponsive at the scene, according to an NYPD spokesperson. He was rushed to Mount Sinai-St. Luke's Hospital in critical condition, police said.
No arrests have been made and the driver stayed at the scene, police said. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

At least 17 people have been injured in crashes at that same intersection since 2012, including 15 drivers and two cyclists, according to city data.
