Teenager Robbed, Beaten On Board Harlem Subway, Police Say
Police asked for help identifying two men accused of punching a boy and robbing him at knifepoint on board a subway train in Harlem.

HARLEM, NY — Two men robbed a teenager at knifepoint on board a subway train in Harlem last month, according to police, who released photos of the suspects on Thursday.
The July 24 robbery happened on board a northbound 3 train, which was at the 116th Street-Lenox Avenue station just before 6 a.m., police said.
A 16-year-old boy was on board the train when the two men approached, with one of them pushing a knife to his throat, police said. Both men began punching the boy in the ribs while demanding his property, police said.

One of the men snatched the boy's iPhone 13 and about $40 in cash before getting off the train at 116th Street, police said.
The boy declined medical attention at the scene, police said.

Police described the first suspect as a man wearing a black shirt, a gray hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers, and the second as a man wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, a white hat and a black face mask.
Police shared surveillance video showing the two men walking down the street sometime after the robbery, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
