Teens Carjack Uber Driver At Knifepoint In East Harlem, Cops Say
The group has also been tied to a brutal mugging in The Bronx, according to police.

EAST HARLEM — Teenaged carjackers threatened an Uber driver with a knife and sped off with his ride in East Harlem, according to police.
The pilfering passengers, five young men and two women, flagged the Uber XL driver, 33, on the corner of East 125th Street and Lenox Avenue on July 28 just after 5 a.m., police said.
The teenaged septet demanded the gray 2022 Chevrolet pull over on East 129th Street and Madison Avenue, where one of the crew pulled a knife, said he had a gun and told the driver to get out, said police.

One couple jumped out of the car and ran away and five others drove off in the Chevy, said police.
They took with them the driver's wallet and an iPhone 11 worth about $1,100, said police.

Cops say the group are between the ages of 16 and 20, and may be connected to a brutal mugging in The Bronx the following day.
Six people punched, kicked and mugged a man, 34, on Walton Avenue and East 151st Street about 1:20 a.m., police said.
They ran off with his cellphone, wallet and backpack, police said. Their victim was hospitalized in stable condition, according to police.
