HARLEM, NY - Five New York men - including three teens - who partook in multiple shootings during a 17-hour crime spree in January have been indicted, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Quadir Diggins, 17, Kuran Brown-Wilson, 19, and Nyriel Williams, 17, are charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with murder for the death of their 17-year-old friend Dominick Allen, among other charges relating to multiple shootings, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. and NYPD Commissioner Edward A. Caban said in a joint statement.

Randy King, 22, is also charged with two counts of attempted murder, among other charges; a fifth individual, Tyrone Burgess, 21, is charged with two counts of conspiracy, among other charges.

“The tragedy of gun violence is manifold when young New Yorkers are accused of shooting at and killing other New Yorkers – in this case, their own friend,” Bragg said. “Allegations like these are some of the most serious I can imagine, and our prosecutors are treating this case with the sober care it deserves. We will hold accountable those who use gun violence to destroy our communities.”

Between Jan. 28 and 29, the five men participated in one gunpoint robbery and three shootings, including the shooting that resulted in Allen’s death. Roughly seven guns - with over 40 shots fired at eight victims - were used across the four incidents. Two victims were struck, including Dominick Allen, who was present at three of the shootings, Bragg and Caban said.

The crime spree began on Jan. 28 about 11 p.m. when Diggins, Williams and King robbed a delivery driver at gunpoint in the Bronx and fled to Manhattan in his stolen car. Throughout the day, the trio stole license plates off parked cars and swapped them onto the stolen car, Bragg and Caban said.

At about 3 a.m. on Jan. 29, Diggins, Williams, King and Allen fired at least 20 gunshots at three other people near 144th Street in Sugar Hill. A half hour later, they stole a license plate from a car and drove to NYCHA’s King Towers, Bragg and Caban said.

At about 4:23 a.m., the four men chased and fired at least 11 gunshots towards a target. 12 hours later, Diggins, Williams, Brown-Williams and Allen drove to NYCHA’s Wilson Houses and shot multiple times into a crowded lobby. During the gunfire, Allen was fatally struck in the back by one of the other conspirators, Bragg and Caban said.

Over the next few months, the men communicated via text messages about acquiring new guns and sent photos of guns in their possession. They also discussed identifying victims to set up in gunpoint robberies, Bragg and Caban said.

In one instance, on June 9, Burgess and Brown-Wilson set up a fake sneaker deal to rob victims at gunpoint. During the robbery, Brown-Wilson shot one 28-year-old victim in the leg, Bragg and Caban said.

A search warrant was executed on June 7 by members of the NYPD on King’s apartment. Officers recovered fentanyl, crack cocaine, and a loaded firearm used in the Jan. 29 shootings, Bragg and Caban said.

Another search warrant was also executed on Brown-Wilson's home on June 10, where officers recovered three loaded firearms and clothing worn during a shooting and robbery.
