Two Men Shot In Harlem Wednesday Night: Police

Two men in their twenties were hospitalized after a shooting on East 116th Street on Wednesday night, according to authorities.

HARLEM, NY – At about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday night, police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting near East 116th Street and 5th Avenue, officials said.

At the scene, officers found two men, a 24-year-old who had been shot in the arm and a 27-year-old who had been shot in the abdomen, a police spokesperson confirmed.

Emergency responders transported both men to area hospitals in stable condition, police said. Both men remained in stable condition as of Thursday morning.

Shell casings were recovered at the scene, according to officials.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. At this time, no information about what led to the shooting is available.
