Morales Linares was on an e-bike traveling north on Manhattan Avenue right before the crash, according to police.
As he crossed West 122nd Street, police said he disobeyed "Do Not Enter" signs, signalling the Avenue's transition to one-way, southbound-only traffic.
The biker then mounted a concrete sidewalk extension, police said, where he lost control of his bike.
The neighbor told Patch that video footage shows Morales Linares falling off his bike after hitting a mound of dirt near a small dog run on the east side of the street.
Officials said when fell onto the road, Morales Linares was instantly hit by the postal truck driven by a 61-year-old man.
The driver attempted to avoid hitting Morales Linares and swerved into a parked 2017 Ford Explorer, damaging it, according to police.
First responders rushed to the scene where they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to his body and head, police said.
