Young Man Stabbed On Harlem Street: Police

A 21-year-old was stabbed twice by a stranger on Thursday night, officials said.

HARLEM, NY — A young man was stabbed on a Harlem street Thursday night by a stranger, according to police.

At around 9 p.m., a 21-year-old man was walking near West 137th Street and Eighth Avenue when a stranger stabbed him in the torso and right forearm, police said.

Officials said the attack was unprovoked.

Medics rushed the man to a hospital in stable condition, police said.

The man fled on foot in an unknown direction, officials said.

Police released an image of the person they claim is the suspect and ask that anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
