Cory Castagna and Nicholas Pecora, two 12th grade students at HHS and the Southern Westchester BOCES Automotive Technology Program, received third place in the 2012 Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) Regional Automotive Technical Competition.
The competition, which was held on Jan. 11 at the GNYADA Training Center in Queens, NY, tested students on various diagnostic and repair skills at various workstations. The eight workstations, which included four hands-on components consisting of vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting, were designed to test students’ basic automotive knowledge.

Castagna and Pecora will receive scholarship awards from automotive technical schools and are eligible to compete in the New York Finals on Feb. 14.
