“Through a council discussion, we decided to invite Mayor Belmont to come to one of our meetings and ask that he talk a bit about what he does as the Mayor/Supervisor and answer some of the Council members’ questions,” said Thomasine Mastrontoni, club adviser and school Library Media Specialist.

The Council members conducted their research and developed a range of questions including: “Why are we called a Village and a Town?” “Why is there a Native American on the seal?” “How long can you serve as Mayor?” “Do you like being Mayor better than running the rec center?” “What are some of the things you would like to accomplish as Mayor?”
