Harrison Athletes Perform at State Championships

Harrison’s boys swim team competed in the 200-medley relay at the NYSPHSAA Boys Swimming and Diving Championships in Buffalo on March 2 and 3.

The team of Matt Carducci, Bryan Pon, Alex Corda and J.T. Nangle finished 10th with a time of 1:30.62. Three of the swimmers also had individual results. Matt Carducci finished 12th in the 100-butterfly and J.T. Nangle finished 14th in the 100-meter backstroke, re-setting the Harrison record with a time of 52.97. Bryan Pon broke his own school record in the 100-meter breaststroke.

The Harrison High School Girls’ 4 x 400 relay team of Hannah Hochman, Samantha Shopovick, Ashley DelliPaoli and Rula Samad placed sixth in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Cornell University on Saturday, March 3.

This team had also won the League and Sectional Championships. This team is looking forward to the spring track season and hopes to improve on this already spectacular result.
