NYPAC's SHOWSTOPPERS Company consists of 30 children, ranging in age from eight to 16. These children reside in towns throughout Westchester, Rockland, and Connecticut. In addition to producing their own original musicals, SHOWSTOPPERS also perform throughout the year at local community events and charity benefits.

Their current production features the talents of many Harrison residents. Those company members are Haliegh DePalo, Zachary Finn, Halle Mastroberardino, Alexandria Ostroumoff, Meghan McGurk, Emma Torre, Caela Vasilkioti, and Abby Wang. "Once Upon a Time...Not Your Average Fairy Tale" Is Mastroberardino's fourth story written specifically for the Showstoppers Company.

"In addition to creating a fun, creative, family friendly story, being able to create enough parts where every cast member has a significant amount of stage time is one of my main goals," she said. "Anyone who auditions for our production is cast. Our belief is that every child who has a passion to perform should not be denied that opportunity, regardless of their prior experience."

This production focuses on three sisters who try to ruin the lives of some of fairy tale's most beloved characters. It features Broadway, pop, and rock music. There is something for everyone, no matter their age.

"It's a great night out for the entire family" added Mastroberardino.

"Once Upon a Time...Not Your Average Fairy Tale" will be presented Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Port Chester Middle School. The show begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance by calling 914-358-4222, or at the door the evening of the performance.
