Dear Friends,
On August 8, 2011 Harrison lost one of its most valued treasures, out brother Town Clerk Joseph Acocella Jr.

To Harrison residents he was Joey. To us, he was a son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He touched the soul of so many lives and he supported so many worthy causes. He was a hero to many and truly a remarkable person.
After Joseph's passing our family decided that we wouldn't become involved in this year's election process. However, in recent weeks out family has read negative material published by the Walsh team and their supporters. We are dismayed at how sad this has become. It smacks in the face of everything that Joseph stood for therefore, we decided as a family we must get involved. It is truly what Joseph would have wanted us to do.

We unequivocally and without hesitation endorse and support Ron Belmont and his entire team. Our dad, Joe Sr., knows of his abilities through working for the town and seeing him in action. We have known him almost our entire lives and have the highest regard for his honesty, integrity, and his ability to work alongside everyone. He is more than capable of being Harrison's next mayor.
We knew how close Joseph worked with both Mr. Malfitano and Mr. Sciliano and we have no doubt as to their qualifications and abilities. We know he would have been proud to work alongside men of such distinguished character, intelligence and professionalism.
Finally, without any hesitation whatsoever, we whole-heartedly endorse the candidacy of Jacqueline "Jackie" Greer. We have known Jackie for over 30 years, first as a friend and then as a co-worker. We know first-hand that Jackie has not only the qualifications to be Harrison's next Town Clerk, but she also has the experience to sit in the chair that Joseph occupied. She has promised our family that she would continue to establish the "no knock registry" that was so important to Joseph and make sure the dog park was maintained and cared for as that was Joseph's last achievement.
She is by far the only candidate one should consider when walking into the voter's booth on Nov. 8, 2011.
Thank You,
The Acocella family.
Joseph Sr., Anthony, Michele and Laura.
