Harrison PD Joins Seatbelt Enforcement Blitz
The Harrison Police Department will aggressively enforce the state's seatbelt laws from May 21 through June 4 as part of the "Buckle up New York" campaign.

Harrison Police will join several other departments across the state in a 14-day aggressive enforcement of seatbelt laws from May 21 through June 4.
The two-week "Buckle Up New York" campaign aims to increase awareness and gain compliance of the state's seatbelt laws. Seat belts reduce serious injuries and deaths in motor vehicle accidents by approximately 50 percent, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The campaign is a state-wide zero tolerance enforcement effort coordinated by New York State Police and the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee to increase seatbelt use in New York State.
