Harrison Poll: School Vote
It's once again time for our weekly Harrison Poll, this week we are asking for your thoughts on this month's school vote.

Last month the Harrison Board of Education officially adopted its proposed 2010-11 budget. As it stands, the budget will raise taxes 3.47 percent and eliminate a total of 17 positions within the district.
The school board said that it did everything within its power to keep taxes down and still provide Harrison's children with a quality education. However, the tax increase is in addition to a 12.9 percent increase approved by the town board for the 2010 fiscal year.Â
Harrison will vote on the school board budget on May 18. Do you think that taxes in this town are out of control? Do you think that we should have raised taxes more and saved some of the positions within the district that were eliminated?Â
