Bandathon Tradition Continues at HHS
Harrison High School's two-day artistic celebration took place Thursday and Friday.
From Harrison's decorated band and color guard to high school garage bands and alumni, Bandathon has been a marathon event celebrating the artistic talent at for more than two decades.
That tradition continued this week, as students showcased their skills Thursday and Friday at the high school.
"This gives the students the opportunity to perform as individuals," said Dr. Fred Pasqua, director of the Harrison High School band program. "That's important to them."

Students performed in small groups Thursday and Friday afternoon, showing a wide variety of musical themes. The Harrison High School band performed Friday night, followed by a headline performance from Harrison alum Jamie Alimorad.
Bandathon has been held at the high school since 1991, when it was an all-night musical event, Pasqua said. In the years since it has been changed to a two-day event to accommodate the school's growing music program.
