Thomas Schlierer, 62, died of heart failure, authorities say.

A 62-year-old man was found dead by a jogger on a wooded trail in Scarsdale, off of the Hutchinson River Parkway, Thursday.

Westchester County Police said Thomas Schlierer of Larchmont parked his car in the parking lot at Saxon Woods Park in White Plains—near the Harrison border—and headed down a jogging/equestrian trail where he died of heart failure, while either running or jogging the path in Scarsdale.

Police said the man, who had an unspecified medical condition, was found around 12:30 p.m. The body had not been on path long before it was found, though police said they could not put an exact time on Schlierer  passed away.
