• New York Environmental Conservation Officers Rescue Two Dogs in Dramatic Separate Incidents (talkofthesound.com) — A Harrison-based no-kill rescue, petRescue, stepped in to take an abandoned Bronx dog now up for adoption as “Hooch,” giving local residents a chance to offer him a home. The same state environmental officers also helped save a separate dog from an icy pond in Oneida County, highlighting coordinated animal rescues across New York.
