Love Your Library? Give it a Hug!

Harrison Library Director Galina Chernykh announces big plans for National Library Week.

What better way to show someone you care about them than offering a hug?

Well, the same idea applies for places we love to visit, according to Harrison Library Director Galina Chernykh who is organizing a "hug the library" event at the West Harrison Library on April 14. The event will celebrate National Library Week, which starts April 8.

Participants will form a chain around the West Harrison branch and come together to give the building a great big hug. Chernykh said the event goes with the theme of the week, which is, "You belong at your library".
