Mayor's Choice Award Winners Honored

Three Harrison students will have their work displayed in town hall for the next five years.

Three Harrison students were honored as winners of the 2011 Mayor's Choice Award for their artistic talent Thursday evening at Town Hall.

Lillian Rossi, a first grader at Harrison Avenue School, Samantha Bernstein, a third grader at Harrison Avenue School and Yuki Kamiya, a junior at Harrison High School, had their work selected this year from a large group of other entries.

The girls had been working on their pieces for most of the school year. The paintings were each of a different style, ranging from traditional paintings to a special type of crayon art.
